Apple announces developments in the study of diseases platform ResearchKit

Apple announced Monday on the developments in the context of open source, "Kate Research" working ResearchKit that add to the iPhone and genetic data and medical tests are usually conducted in the detection room applications.

The company said that medical researchers have begun to adopt these new features for the design of targeted diseases and conditions that afflict billions of people around the world to gather specific data from participants studies.

Said Jeff Williams, director of operations at Apple: "ResearchKit have won a fantastic response, between night and the other has become a lot of ResearchKit studies of the largest studies to date, researchers from which achieves discoveries were not possible before."

He said Williams: "What medical researchers around the world are still continuing to use the iPhone to change what we know about complex diseases, and with the continued support of both working with an open source framework to work, there are no limits to the possibilities of iPhone in medical research."

Thanks ResearchKit, iPhone becomes, according to Apple, an effective tool in medical research, as it provides physicians, scientists and researchers the ability to use more accurately iPhone applications to collect data from participants anywhere in the world and over periods of time.

The company explained that the participants in these studies can on applications reviewing their acceptance of the terms in detail, and the completion of certain tasks easily, and to respond to questionnaires, and choose what's being shared with researchers from the health information, making contribution to medical research easier than ever.

Because ResearchKit available as a framework for open source work, Apple said that developers are able to develop research studies at high speed on the iPhone, and they can develop the program code and provide contributions to help other researchers to accomplish more using the framework.

Researchers can also use the newly released research community open source software users to integrate genetic data in their studies smoothly, simple and low cost.

Apple noted that researchers are still continuing to use ResearchKit and the development of the framework by contributing to new research units bring iPhone applications to detect Rooms tests.

The most important contribution the ability to measure hearing tones, measure reaction time by providing stimulant known and measurable unrecognized response, and evaluate the information and working memory processing speed, and the use of sports game Tower of Hanoi to study the cognitive abilities, and make the conduct of timed tests
