Where are the best award of a research project funded by the Qatari fund to sponsor scientific research, to honor the most significant achievements in the field of research for 2015. The award also aims to shed light on the research and knowledge that had an impact on policy-making and capacity building in the State of Qatar.
This project will be chosen the winner from among 71 competing projects, subjected to review and audit by the management committee in the Qatari fund to sponsor scientific research. To select the winner, it is taking into account the level of scientific excellence, and cite research sources, and patents, as well as to have the project sustainable impact, including community impact, and fostering a culture of scientific research in the state, along with the active cooperation and international recognition.
Said Dr. Hamad Al-Ibrahim, executive vice president of research and development sector in Qatar Foundation: "R & D sector in the state to achieve clear progress, the result of creative and innovative capacity, which is characterized by the research community in Qatar. Since we are aware of the progress and extent of its impact on our future goals, not only contributes to the achievement of business stipulated in the Qatar national research strategy framework, it is also stresses the importance of investment in human energies. "
It will be awarded Best Innovation Award, honoring innovative research project has been accomplished by the Qatari side supported partially or wholly by the Qatar Foundation, and prepared under the supervision of "Intellectual Property Rights Office and the transfer of technology" in the Qatar Foundation, commercial viability, and the possibility of marketing and its contribution to the development of the knowledge economy and innovation in the state. This was chosen as the favorites to win this award by the Intellectual Property Rights Office and the transfer of technology from among 280 candidates ahead.
The Qatar Annual Research Foundation 2016 conference held in the period between 22 and 23 March at the Qatar National Convention Centre, which will bring together prominent leaders and scientific minds and the most important researchers from Qatar and around the world to discuss the most important developments in this sector, as will address discussions held to discuss how to cope major research challenges facing the State of Qatar.
