Microsoft Corp. is preparing to enter into the automotive sector like many of its competitors, but instead of creating a new section of the automotive industry, the US software giant decided to partner with the largest automobile production company in the world.
The company announced in a statement on her blog that it has partnered with Toyota to create "a world where cars are huge smart phones you led, with Assume personal assistant knows the best tracks that is desirable behavior, which alerts when it finds that crowded may cause going to be late for a meeting."
Microsoft said that Toyota announced Tuesday the creation of a new company called "Toyota Connected" Toyota Connected to serve as a data science center for the automotive industry as it seeks to link cars to people's lives everyday.
The company explained that cloud computing platform of its "Azure" Azure will provide hybrid solutions for everything manufactured by "Toyota Connected" in order to make driving more personal, and more intuitively and safer.
Microsoft pointed out that the technology has become important to the automakers, such as motors and steel, so it aims Toyota through a new company - based in Plano, Texas, United States - to expand its capabilities to a large degree by building on the list with the Microsoft partnership.
She added that the new company will be under Zack Hicks, management, and the Executive Director for "Toyota Connected," the president, who also will remain in his current position as president of Information Technology Department at Toyota Motor North America, unification of Toyota's initiatives in the data center management, and data analysis and the development of services that depend the data.
For his part, Hicks said, "Toyota Connected" will work to evaluate and develop a myriad of techniques, such as that the steering wheel to monitor heartbeat driver and his breathing, while the seat turns into balance provides continuous health monitoring, in a manner quite similar to what now do smart wearable devices.
He added that the system can communicate with the car to other cars to see if there was a traffic jam waiting, and then inform the organizers of the meeting at which a driver may be going to him by e-mail to let them know that it will be delayed.
She explained Microsoft, which recently announced partnerships related to car connected to the Internet, it will work with "Toyota Connect" in the new facility in Texas, to provide ongoing engineering support across a wide range of mobile and data analysis software.
The new company will initially provide their products and services in the North American market and will then expand into other markets, Toyota.
